The workshop

After completing this workshop you know your way around in the REACH-regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) and can apply this regulation in daily practice. You learn about the consequences of REACH for your product (packaging), which demands it places on your product and processes, how to register and notify and how to communicate about REACH to your clients.

Recognition
This course is CEDEO-certified, as are the other NVC courses. The NVC is also ‘recognized service provider’ in Flanders concerning the pillar Education.

For whom?

This workshop is mainly intended for quality controllers, packaging procurement professionals and regulatory affairs managers of companies that sell or use products that contain dangerous substances of mixtures (downstream users).

The workshop covers the following subjects:

• REACH in brief: consequences for packaging, overview, integration with other legislation, import/export inside and outside Europe
• Conditions on packaging and substances in packaging materials
• Important deadlines
• Expectations of your clients and suppliers
• Dubious and difficult cases
• Registration process
• Exposure scenarios

Case studies
During the workshop you put theory into practice by working through case studies. In the first case study you learn to what extent REACH applies to you and how you can handle this. In the second case you learn how to handle questions concerning the registration dossier that you receive from your supplier.

Our tutors are professionally active in this specific field, which enables all the newest issues and developments to be quickly incorporated into the course programme.

Zoran Gavric, The Regulatory Company, is specialised in regulatory toxicology and particularly the implementation of REACH. Zoran supports companies with the implementation of REACH, advises and supervises the preparation of REACH registration dossiers and carrying out of these registrations.

Certificate

After completing this workshop with adequate participation effort, you will receive the NVC certificate 'NVC Workshop REACH in Packaging’.
