Global market for collaborative robots 2017-2021

In a new report, Technavio’s market research analysts predict the global collaborative robots market to grow at a CAGR of more than 60% during the forecast period 2017-2021. One of the top three revenue contributing application segments is material handling. This application segment accounted for 32% of the market share in 2016.
Material handling involves a wide range of operations such as machine feeding, loading and unloading, packing, palletizing, and disengaging. Collaborative robots represent a balance of flexibility and technical skill, which facilitates material handling and taking advantage of the human expertise and skills (Press Release Technavio, 12 January 2017).
