Video: Americans vent frustration at hard-to-open packaging

In the opening episode of a video series of consumer research in partnership with Watch Me Think, Packaging Digest (a media brand of UBM Canon) reveals what bothers Americans about packages that are hard to open—and how they adapt.
In less than five minutes, nearly a dozen people show what they go through to get into various products, including foods, electronics and personal care items.
Participants also suggest improvements for notoriously hard-to-open packages, from sealed clamshells and lidding on pudding cups to tamper-evident bands and tear-open pouches (News Item Packaging Digest, 6 February 2014).
