Top 6 global consumer trends 2015

Euromonitor has published the results from the 2015 Global Consumer Trends survey. In an article the authors present six insights drawn from the survey results. One is that informed eaters will pay more for healthy packaged food. Consumers that pay a lot of attention to labels and nutrition express a much greater willingness to pay extra for the packaged food features they deem important.
Another of the insights is that trust in “green” labels is growing, but skepticism remains high. Although stricter regulation led to a jump in trust from 2011 to 2015, consumers remain largely ambivalent towards ethical and environmental language and claims (News Item Euromonitor 12 February 2016).
