Over 1 in 3 employees disregards their own development
Over one in three employees (35%) says they do not put any effort in remaining employable in the labour market. This is the case even though the majority of employees (81%) thinks they have enough time, means and freedom for their own development.
The conditions that have been set by the employer to participate in education or training do not prevent the large majority (90%) from receiving education. 65 per cent of the employees does make use of the development opportunities. This group of employees follows education or training (53%), reads professional literature (27%) and reads articles on external websites (18%) to increase their knowledge (News Item RAET, 26 February 2018).
