Consumer’s role in recyclability of multi-material packaging
On 31 August 2018 Henrike Holwerda held a speech entitled ‘Recyclability of multi-material packaging - Improvement by supporting consumer’s value proposition’ as part of her master assignment. From a holistic perspective, the life-cycle can be divided in 2 parts. The first part is focusing on the creation of value, by which the recyclability is determined. The second part is focusing on the recovery of value, during which the afore determined recyclability is exploited. From both perspectives, consumers form a bottleneck in the value chain. Based on the analysis, an advisory report is formulated on the enabling and motivation of consumers to propose their value (Website University of Twente).
