NL: Municipality fees plastic waste 2015 fixed

In the Packaging Agreement (Raamovereenkomst) the the municipality fees for recovering plastic waste for 2013 and 2014 are given. As of 2015 municipalities will be responsible for sorting this waste and they will be allowed to market it. During the negotiations so far an agreement for the fees for the coming four years has not yet been reached. The decision has been made to only fix the fee for 2015. The fee will be 613 euro (gross) and 817 euro (net) for municipalities that choose not to market the waste themselves. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) has conducted a study on the municipality fees for recovering plastic waste (News Item Association of Dutch Municipalities, 14 January 2014).
