NL: Consumentenbond about information on food packaging
Early 2017, the Consumentenbond did research on the opinions of consumers about information on food packaging. The research focused on food packaging that could be considered misleading by consumers. The consumer research consisted of qualitative research among 24 consumers and quantative research performed via the Internet.
Consumers were asked to respond to questions, statements and examples of food packaging that could be considered misleading. This way, research was done to understand how consumers think about food packaging and if they think it would be necessary to put new measures in place to prevent misleading food packaging (Consumentenbond, March 2017).
