Challenges in finding the right candidate/job in packaging

Packaging Connections designed a survey to understand the challenges in getting the right job or hiring the right candidate(s) in packaging. The survey also showcases the effectiveness of various channels used to identify a new job opportunity in a company.
The results show that there is a big gap in the packaging industry to find the right candidate for a particular job. Only 5% of the respondents say they are able to find the perfect candidate. 39% answered ‘No, it’s a challenge”. “Key Words” in generic job portals don’t work exactly for packaging. Job portals misinterpret packaging as ‘software package’; ‘application packaging’ and other non-packaging profiles.
