Life Long Learning for sustainable packaging development

"Attract more students in 1st phase education and stimulate that employees stay educated and trained at work. Only in this way we can sustainably achieve our environmental packaging objectives.” This is what NVC director Michael Nieuwesteeg says in a nationwide Dutch newspaper supplement, as the packaging sector is addressing a number of major challenges in the coming years.
In the NVC vision, people not only are a cause of (environmental) problems, but also the ones that can bring the solution, based on their knowledge, expertise and skills. Life Long Learning by the knowledge workers in the distributive trade, users and suppliers of packaging is key for this (Press Release NVC, 5 July 2018).
