Approval for 9 BPM projects for biobased materials

The Chemistry of Advanced Materials council of the Top Sector Chemistry has given the green light for 9 new projects in the Biobased Performance Materials (BPM) programme. The research will be concentrating on, for example, biobased alternatives for digital printer inks (2D and 3D), biobased alternatives for industrial glues and the application potential of biobased plastics made using succinic acid. Several projects will involve more in-depth research into the application of some of the biobased building blocks already developed. The results of the first wave of projects in the BPM programme have recently been published in the BPM Magazine (Press Release Wageningen UR, 19 May 2015).
