11th amendment of EU Regulation Plastic Food Contact Materials

On 5 June 2018 the 11th amendment was published on EU 10/2011 as “Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/831 of 5 June 2018 amending Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food”. This amendment only contains a few modifications/additions to Annex 1, table 1, the “Union List”.
Modifications: FCM No 822 – Perchloric acid, salts: SML changed from 0,05 mg/kg to 0,002 mg/kg; FCM No 974 – Phosphorous acid: SML changed from 5 mg/kg to 10 mg/kg. New Substances: FCM No 1066 – 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphtalene-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, dimethyl ester; FCM No 1068 – [3-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)propyl]trimethoxy silane (ViaWare, June 2018).
