Packaging for E-commerce at trade fair Logistica 2017 - Visit the NVC Information Point stand number A097 in hall 4
From 28-30 November 2017, the biennial trade fair Logistica takes place in Utrecht, The Netherlands. About twenty thousand visitors and three hundred exhibitors share the latest insights in logistics, transport and packaging at this event. Special attention is given in this edition to Web Retail Packaging (WRP). This is the packaging of products ordered online or in the shop and delivered directly to the consumer at home or through a pick-up point. WRP is an essential factor in the further responsible and rapid growth of home shopping, especially with regard to physical products. Logistica organiser Royal Jaarbeurs Utrecht and NVC Netherlands Packaging Centre work closely together.

WRP featured in two special Scalas in hall 4
WRP is featured in two special Scalas on the fair floor, with every Scala actually featuring live demonstrations. Every day there are plenty of lectures and presentations as well.
The Scala Logistica Pick (hall 4) shows how webstore orders are made ready for delivery. UP to now, manual handling is still a key component of the work, but smarter packing systems and intelligent robots are arriving on the scene.
The Scala Logistica Deliver (hall 4) demonstrates delivery at home. Is the product still in tact? What do we do with the emptied packaging? New packaging techniques offer unprecedented possibilities, and return logistics may experience an innovative come-back.

1st International Conference on Web Retail Packaging 28 November
On 28 November in the afternoon from 1400-1700 hrs, the 1st International Conference on Web Retail Packaging will take place in the Juliana Conference Auditorium.
