Introduction
NVC (founded in 1953) is the association of companies addressing the activity of packaging throughout the supply chain of packaged products. The NVC membership, projects, information services and education programme stimulate the continuous improvement of packaging.
Careful handling of personal data is an important element of our current and future functioning as an association. Personal data are therefore carefully processed and secured. Personal data are not sold by us or made available to third parties. We comply with the law and regulations regarding the protection of personal data, such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), taking effect from 25 May 2018.

Responsibility for the handling of personal data
The NVC is responsible for the handling of your personal data. This means that the NVC determines the purposes and means for the processing itself and that it is responsible for compliance with the legal requirements.

- to be able to contact you;
- to send you information;
- to enter into and execute (membership, training, participation and other) agreements.

We also use your personal data for relationship management and activities to enhance our database of (employees of) member companies and other potentially interested parties at NVC and to inform them about our activities.

We try to take your preferences into account. If you do not appreciate the information from NVC, you can send a note stating 'blocking' to: NVC Packaging Centre, Stationsplein 9k, 2801 AK Gouda, The Netherlands.

The NVC uses the following legal grounds for the processing of personal data:

  • in the context of the formation and / or performance of an agreement;
  • to comply with the law (including accounting treatment, tax obligations and obligations in connection with court orders or other mandatory laws and regulations);

  • the exercise and defense of the rights of the NVC, for example in disputes;
  • the management of member data or support thereof, including the creation of segments and profiles for the management of members or for the detection of members' needs.
