Global skin packaging market 2016-2020

In a new report Technavio's analysts forecast the global skin packaging market to grow at a CAGR of 5% between 2016 and 2020. APAC accounts for the largest market share. Vendors are shifting toward vacuum skin packaging. Moreover, the vendors are also using biodegradable plastics.
The non-carded skin packaging segment accounts for more than 60% of the total market share. Benefits such as its easy opening option, vertical and hanging presentation, and the availability of a wide array of packaging materials including glossy and metallized surfaces will result in the rapid growth of this market segment during the forecast period (Press Release Technavio, 24 February 2016).
