Global glass packaging market 2017-2027

According to a new report by visiongain, the global market for glass packaging will reach $56.8bn in 2017. North America is the largest market followed by Europe, Asia-Pacific is an emerging packaging market, in terms of value and volume and hence the fastest growing region. The demand in Asia-Pacific will continue to increase due to the rising disposable income of the consumers in the region and increasing population especially in China and India.
The alcoholic beverages application is expected to drive the market. One of the key factors contributing to the growth of this market is the increasing demand for beer in Asia-Pacific and Eastern Europe (News Item visiongain, 1 June 2017).
