Global glass packaging market 2016-2026

In a new report visiongain predicts that the global market for glass packaging will reach $55.71 billion in 2016. The market is expected to witness significant change in its regional outlook over 2016-2026. The BRIC markets will comprise approximately 30% of global demand, increasing as their economies further develop. The surging demand for glass packaging in emerging economies is a major stimulator of the growing demand.
Glass packaging is facing increasing competition from rival packaging materials that are stronger, lighter and cheaper to manufacture and transport, as experienced in many of the glass packaging submarkets (News Item visiongain, 21 March 2016).
