Global flexible plastic packaging market

In a new report visiongain predicts the global market for flexible (converted) plastic packaging to reach $152.40 billion in 2016. The market has grown faster than expected in 2016 due to general economic conditions improving worldwide recently, meaning increased consumer confidence.
The development and growth of the packaging market has illustrated how closely tied the market’s performance is to the state of the global economy. Over the last 20 years the global packaging demand has outpaced the GDP growth. Visiongain anticipates that historic trend to continue in the coming decade, with the flexible plastic packaging demand to exceed the GDP growth (News Item visiongain, 11 April 2016).
