According to a new report by MarketsandMarkets (M&M), the global protective packaging market is projected to reach USD 26.23 Billion in 2015, growing at a CAGR of 6.39% from 2015 and 2020. High disposable incomes and changing lifestyles have led to the increase in the consumption of packed goods and e-retailing channels, which in turn drive the demand for protective packaging.
Flexible protective packaging is projected to be the fastest-growing product type segment with air pillows projected to be the fastest-growing product. Rigid protective packaging will be the second-fastest growing product type segment with corrugated box projected to be the largest and fastest-growing product.
