Global ampoules packaging market 2016-2020

In a new report Technavio's analysts forecast the global ampoules packaging market to grow at a CAGR of 9% between 2016 and 2020. Increased use of disposable products in the medical sector has led to the growing demand as most of the ampoules are available in a unit dose.
The glass packaging material segment leads the market and is expected to generate revenues of close to USD 4 billion by the end of the forecast period. Glass has been the primary packaging material for ampoules due to its ability to withstand heat and resistance. Of late, the market is witnessing increased adoption of plastic over glass due to glass breakage and delamination (Press Release Technavio, 25 April 2016).
