Demand for personnel in graphic media industry is growing
The latest edition of ‘Grafimedia in numbers’ shows that the demand for personnel for businesses in the graphic media industry is growing. Printers, packaging producers and other businesses in the graphic media industry have started to search for personnel again. At the beginning of 2018, there were 430 job openings, the highest number in ten years. Despite the growth, the economic recovery in the graphic media industry is faltering. In 2017 the amount of bankruptcies grew (+42.9%), the number of businesses decreased (-3.5%) and the total turnover of the branch decreased (-5.2%). The decrease of unemployment in the sector, from 18.6 to 13.4% is positive (News Item GOC, 26 June 2018).
