Now online: Video 1st conference on fight against food waste
Two billion people suffer from obesity and 800 million people live on the edge of starvation, whereas also huge amounts of edible food are wasted, either in the supply chain up to the consumer or at home by that same consumer after the purchase. On 22 March 2018 the international packaging community gathered at the ANUGA FoodTec in Cologne (Germany) to address the issue, with lectures by i.a. Barilla Group, APEAL, the REFRESH project, NVC and Istituto Italiano Imballaggio. The video impression of the conference is now published online.
Work on a follow-up conference and related activities has meanwhile started towards the Cibus Tec exhibition (22-25 October 2019 in Parma, Italy).
