TNO and HCSS establish Expertise Centre for Raw Materials

TNO and HCSS are clustering their knowledge in the field of raw materials in an Expertise Centre for Raw Materials, thereby strengthening their broad expertise in this field. The Expertise Centre for Raw Materials will act as a national monitor and oracle for raw and other materials and, as such, is explicitly open for other partners and parties. This Expertise Centre will thus contribute to governmental policy-making and offer Dutch industry a perspective of action and risk analysis in respect of securing the supply and the sustainable use of raw materials. The focus of this expertise centre will be concentrated on four areas of knowledge: the development and application of knowledge of the sustainable use of raw materials (recycling), strategic advice on raw materials, the development and application of knowledge of mining and the development and application of knowledge of alternative raw materials (Press Release TNO, 19 June 2013).
