Over half of working people continues to learn
Most adults with a paid job continue to learn during their working life. Over half of the 25 to 65 year old employees follows courses related to their work. These are often short courses, business education, trainings, private classes, workshops and seminars. Part-timers, lower educated and older people take part in these courses least often.
This is the result of the third Adult Education Survey (AES). This research is done by the Dutch national institute of statistics CBS and is commissioned by Eurostat.
In order to keep working in the rapidly changing labour market, it is important for people with paid employment that they are regularly educated (News Item CBS, 5 March 2018).
