NL: Packaging Waste Fund establishes rate for beverage cartons, other rates remain unchanged for 2015

As of 2015 Dutch municipalities will receive a compensation from the Packaging Waste Fund (Afvalfonds Verpakkingen) for the separate collection of beverage cartons. Companies placing beverage cartons on the market are therefore asked to fill in a correction report for the Packaging Waste Fund indicating how many beverage cartons the company expects to release onto the Dutch market in 2015.
The rate for beverage cartons has been set at €0.174 per kilogram, irrespective of the materials that the beverage carton is made of. The rates for the other material and packaging types will remain the same as they are for 2015 (Newsletter Packaging Waste Fund, August 2014).
