NL: New rates for beverage cartons and non-deposit bottles

In August the Dutch Packaging Waste Fund announced the rate for beverage cartons in 2015: €0.174 per kilogram (ex. VAT). However, according to recent information, fewer cartons than expected will be collected in 2015. This means that the Waste Fund has been able to lower the rates to €0.12 per kilogram (ex. VAT). This rate is for all of the materials that the beverage carton is made of. During 2015 the Waste Fund will assess whether this rate can be maintained in 2016.
New in 2015 is a rate of €7.50 per kilogram for plastic bottles larger than 0.75l for soft drinks and water that do not have a deposit on them (Newsletter Packaging Waste Fund, November 2014).
