NL: FSSC third standard accepted by NVWA
FSSC version 4 is the third standard that was accepted on the website Ketenborging.nl. That means that both the standard and the certification protocol meet the criteria of the Taskforce Food Trust. With that, the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) accepts the standard.
At the end of September 2016 the NVWA accepted the BRC and IFS standards. Other standards have applied as well and the NVWA is checking to what extent they meet the criteria. They often still need to make specific improvements. At the moment, NVWA is developing the protocol for inspecting businesses that use an accepted certification scheme (News item VMT, 1 February 2017).
