NL: Consumption in the office and on the go: a growth market
In the Netherlands, 32.3% (38.4 billion euros) of the food consumption takes place outside the home. In the past two years this consumption has been growing faster than consumption at home. In a Sector Update that was published on 15 September 2017, ABN AMRO gives an overview of the opportunities for producers of food products.
The analysts state among other things that producers and wholesalers can offer advice to their customer about the most favourable food trends and help them to effectively anticipate them. For example by offering packs that can be opened with just one hand (convenience). This increases the appeal and variation of the range of products and ‘convenience’.
