NL: Letter sent to Dutch House concerning national waste plan and collection of beverage cartons

On 4 June 2014 state secretary Mansveld sent a letter to the Dutch House about the plans concerning separate collection of beverage cartons.
The letter also states information about the evaluation of the national waste plan (Landelijk Afvalbeheer Plan, LAP). She states that most of the goals of LAP1 and LAP2 have been met. Looking at the efficiency component, the report comes to the conclusion that the LAP has been an important factor in keeping the rise of the waste costs for consumers and the industry under the inflation level. The report contains recommendations for LAP3 including stimulating innovation in recycling and reuse and stimulating separate waste collection by the municipalities.
