NL: Labour productivity far above European average

The Netherlands belong to the most competitive countries in the world. An important reason for the competitiveness of the Netherlands is the way in which high-quality goods and services are supplied.
The Netherlands particularly score well in export sectors. Industry, transport & logistics, agriculture and food all have a higher productivity than average compared to the neighbouring countries. With products like microchip production machines and modern production methods like milking robots, that help Dutch companies in these sectors to perform better than foreign competition, it is important to continue to invest in new developments (News Item ABN AMRO, 7 March 2018).
