New international committee ISO/TC 313 Packaging Machinery

In April the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) approved the proposal from Italy to set up ISO/TC 313 Packaging Machinery, a new international technical committee that will be responsible for drawing up standards for packaging plants and machinery with particular reference to aspects of safety, design and efficiency. The creation of the new TC will bring considerable benefits for companies operating in the industry. Unified standards will now apply worldwide and not just in Europe, resolving the sectoral conflict between European, American and other countries’ standards. The first meeting has been scheduled for 10 October 2018 (Press Release UCIMA, 27 August 2018).
