Ninth ATP of the CLP regulation published
Regulation (EU) 2016/1179, published on 19 July 2016, amends the CLP regulation. The Annex VI Table 3.2, with the harmonised classification and labelling of hazardous substances according to the "old" Directive 67/548/EEC should be deleted by 1 June 2017, the end of the transition period. From that moment on all products should be labelled according to CLP.
The harmonised classifications for 22 substances, among which are copper oxide, bisphenol A, PHMB, and 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, are also amended. These new or amended classifications apply from 1 March 2018. Suppliers can decide to start using this classification on a voluntary basis before the deadline (De VIB fabriek, 27 July 2016).
