Monitoring Research Study Packaging in the Netherlands 2014

In the Netherlands 4% more was spent on packaging materials in 2014 than in 2013. Investments in packaging machinery are increasing as well. For the year 2015 the expectations are quite positive and the focus is on innovation, adding value, fighting product loss and environment. A great challenge is the threatening shortage of sufficiently skilled personnel.
These are some of the conclusions of the Monitoring Research Study Packaging in the Netherlands 2014, executed with packaging buyers and suppliers. The report was presented October 2nd at packaging exhibition Macropak in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The report is a co-production of Jaarbeurs Utrecht (organiser of Macropak) and the NVC.
