Market study polypropylene up to 2019

Ceresana has published the second edition of their polypropylene market study, addressing the major trends and expectations up to the year 2019 globally. Producers of flexible and rigid packaging account for an aggregated demand of more than 50% of the total polypropylene capacity, which is forecasted to increase from 62 million tonnes in 2013 to 85 million tonnes by 2019. The market value of the total production by then is estimated at around €120 billion per annum. The Asia-Pacific region will increase their share of the global market.
