IATA reveals 2015 DGR changes
IATA has published a summary of the main changes that will appear in the 56th edition of its Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), which take effect this coming January 1. Most of the changes mirror those that will be included in ICAO’s Technical Instructions, 2015-2016 edition, although IATA has added in some text at a number of points to highlight the meaning of GHS pictograms and explain that these do not necessarily mean that a package contains a substance subject to the DGR.
While it should be remembered that the list of changes is not exhaustive, users may be happy to see that it is only four pages long this year (Hazardous Cargo Bulletin, 22 August 2014).
