EU: 11th ATP to CLP published
The 11th Adaptation to Technical Progress (ATP) to the regulation on the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP) has been published. Applicable from 1 December 2019, the 11th ATP now only contains Table 3 (the Dangerous Substances Directive classifications have been removed).
It also contains formal translations of chemical names. This means that all suppliers should now revise the labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures to ensure that the new formal translations are used. This will need to be done by 1 December 2019 — there will be no sell-through period available for products placed on the market before 1 December 2019 (Croner-i, 14 May 2018).
