EU: Draft act on the amendment of the Freedom of Economic Activities Act concerning Poland
This draft proposes the mitigation of obligations of Article 20 of the Freedom of Economic Activities Act (FEAA) concerning the labelling of goods. Entrepreneurs who place goods on the market will not be obligated to indicate the address of distributors based in Poland.
Under the current FEAA, it is obligatory to label products with the address of distributors with registered offices in Poland. This generates extra costs for entrepreneurs as they need to change labelling of their packaging offered to the Polish market. The purpose of amending the FEAA is to limit the burden on entrepreneurs and to ensure the free flow of goods (Draft Act, 6 February 2014).
