The future of packaging in the UK: newspaper supplement by Raconteur
A wealth of data on the developments in packaging in the UK and beyond is provided in a special newspaper publication by Raconteur, named Future of Packaging. The report was distributed with major newspapers on December 9th, 2013 and is available as stand-alone online document as well.
Sales of packaging in the UK market amount to €13 billion p/a and 85,000 people are employed by the UK packaging (manufacturing and supply) industry. New packaging trends are depicted (e.g. killer paper, heat without fire).The challenge to meet the UK environmental targets for the recycling of packaging waste is described, as well as the function that packaging may have in preventing food waste.
