CDP Global Supply Chain Report 2017

In January 2017, CDP published the Global Supply Chain Report 2017. 4,366 supplier companies responded to the questionnaire sent by CDP. The supply chain is the new frontier in environmental responsibility – an area rich with opportunity that remains mostly unexplored, where a number of pathfinders are starting to show others the value that can be found. About 25% of respondents are realizing climate opportunities by enabling their own suppliers to reduce emissions, or are growing revenue through sales of low carbon products or services. Examples include using more sustainable materials for products and packaging, and implementing process innovations that minimize water use and carbon emissions.
