Farewell address prof. Omta shows impact open innovation

In the coming years pioneering innovations will fundamentally change our agricultural system as we know it today. That is the firm conviction of prof.dr. Onno Omta expressed in his farewell speech 'Open innovation - The road to success in agrifood?' as professor of Business Administration at Wageningen University & Research on 26 October 2017. Prof. Omta is also well-known in the worldwide packaging community as jury chairman of the bi-annual packaging innovation contest De Gouden Noot.
In 2000, he was appointed professor in Wageningen in the Business School innovation chair, which at that time counted ten Dutch researchers. The group now has fifty employees, half of whom are non-Dutch.
