26,562 packaging job vacancies analysed

The amount of LinkedIn generic packaging job vacancies globally is now 26,562 (data Dec. 23^rd, 2014). However, NVC research shows that the data are geographically skewed and have a great variety in qualifications required. Nearly 80% of the total refers the USA.
The Top-10 European countries together (UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland and Sweden) account for 2713 job vacancies (10,2% of total). These are published as packaging manager, packaging engineer, packaging technologist, packaging design etc. More on this at the upcoming 1^st European Conference on the Future of Business Education in Packaging (April 23^rd, 2015).
