Report on Plastics Caps and Closures Conference 2017
On 7 and 8 November 2017, the annual Plastics Caps and Closures Conference was held in Amsterdam. The conference shares all insights on how industry and society deal with one of the most challenging elements of packaging: the safe and robust closure of packaging that should also be easy to open.
The environmental implications of caps and closures littering, both on land and in the seas, were extensively addressed. Also the implications of an ageing population for caps and closure design were discussed. NVC is partner of the conference, especially in the field of materials science, accessible design and sustainable innovation. NVC director Michael Nieuwesteeg was the conference chairman.
