Innovation Lab Wageningen offers startup businesses opportunities in the biobased economy

The biobased economy is rapidly developing. Wageningen UR has opened an Innovation Lab for startup businesses in the biobased economy. The ‘Innovation Lab Biobased Products Wageningen’ (iLAB Wageningen) offers businesses the use of specific equipment, laboratory space and expertise in a wide range of conversion technologies. Here ideas can be translated into actual biobased products and/or be (further) developed as technologies.
Where other locations focus on chemical innovations derived from fossil raw materials, iLab Wageningen focuses on renewable raw materials: biomass. Products like materials, chemicals and energy can be made from biomass (Press Release Wageningen UR, 10 April 2014).
