Expected job loss because of digitisation and robotisation

Research commissioned by HR service group ACERTA that was carried out among 469 CEOs and Members of the Board shows that 79% of the CEOs will have to start looking for extra personnel.
Digitisation and robotisation offer opportunities for new employees as result of an increase in production or the need for specific competences. In addition to this, 8 out of 10 CEOs indicate that they will have to let go over 5% of their personnel because of the digitisation. At the same time, 6 out of 10 expect more than 5% growth in personnel. All things considered jobs will be lost. 47% of employers expect the impact of robotisation to manifest itself in 3 to 5 years (Press Release Acerta, 31 August 2017).
